Coppelia's Big Fat Fried Chicken Sandwich

Trust Coppelia to get fried chicken right. The cutlet in this Torta de Milanesa ($9.95) is juicy and greaselessly crisp. On top go creamy black beans, creamier guacamole, a delicately smoky chipotle mayo, gooey, salty cheese, and strips of fresh lettuce and roasted green chili.

That's a lot to take in, especially on a big toasted roll, and if I were to be fussy I'd say it's more than the sandwich actually needs. But I'm also not one to complain much if my lunch tastes like too many things, all of which come well-made and judiciously portioned. If you want simple, Coppelia can help you, but this built-up sandwich is more than satisfying.

The sandwich comes with an order of fries, which you can substitute for yuca fries (shown here). You get four or five fat ones, freshly fried and gooey on the inside.
