When I'm really tired in the morning and want to treat myself, I pop into Kam Hing Coffee Shop on the way to SEHQ to pick up one of their signature sponge cakes. But I might have to switch from plain to their new chocolate chip sponge cake ($1). It's the same light, plush cake with wee flecks of chocolate chip, giving the cake a satisfying hint of bittersweet chocolate flavor. The chocolate isn't too sweet or overbearing, letting the simple but excellent sponge cake shine.
