Smoke and Fire

What happens when you assemble celebrated steaks—dry aged, wet aged, and everything in between—in a room with David Burke's cook's and a team of discerning steak-loving judges?

Possibly heartburn. But also the Great Steak Debate on September 15th, an evening hosted by chef David Burke as part of an effort to find the best steak producers—and the best ways of producing steak. Entrance is limited to invited Citi Thank You cardholders, but we're giving away two tickets right here.

Ticketholders will taste steaks from meat producers all around the country in a range of styles, then vote on their favorites, with beer and wine to wash it all down. A panel of judges—including our very own Meat Bureau Chief Nick Solares—will also crown a winning steak.

To enter, tell us about your favorite steak in New York in the comments below. We'll pick a winner at random on Wednesday, September 11th at 5 p.m. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
