As we try and demonstrate regularly, New York is one impressive hub of sandwiches—some local, some hailing from the far corners of the country, some from halfway around the world. With lobster rolls and banh mi about as standard a lunch these days as a hot dog, and the rise of single-item restaurants devoted to regional American sandwiches, we can expect to see even more obscure sandwiches coming soon to New York's shores.

But what sandwiches are we still missing? For starters, we're still looking for a really good New Orleans-style po'boy, or pork rolls from Jersey, or a Dutch crunch to make a Californian proud.
