Drinks and Bites From The Lucky Rice Cocktail Feast

Last night, we exchanged chopsticks for tumblers and paid a visit to the Lucky Rice Cocktail Feast (subtitled "A Journey East") for the liquid diet portion of the festival's fourth annual run. The week-long celebration of Asian cuisines runs the gamut, from a hearty dumpling party and slurp-able ramen variations to yesterday's boozy spread of vaguely Asian-inspired drinks.

Once again, the feast was held at the elegant Bowery Hotel; with good weather on our side, the party quickly spilled onto the open rooftop.

Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto played host to the thirsty crowd, serving up a selection of savory small plates to accompany the evening's drinks. Over a dozen concoctions were up for grabs, courtesy of mixologists from Añejo Tequileria, B Flat, Barmini by José Andrés, Experimental Cocktail Club, Macao, The Bowery Hotel, Tribeca Canvas, and Whiskey Soda Lounge.

Though every vendor incorporated the evening's sponsor, Bombay Sapphire East, into at least one drink, there was no shortage of variety. Click through the slideshow to see the bites and cocktails we tasted.
