Murray's Cheese went all-out classic with their own super secret 5-cheese blend and a smoky tomato soup.
Milk Truck pulled out all the stops with their Bacon Cheddar Blue grilled cheese (right). Not only was there bacon, cheddar, and blue cheese, but also caramelized onions and McClure's spicy pickles on a rosemary pullman bread from Blue Ribbon Bakery. And for any vegetarians, they also made a mushroom version of the same sandwich (left).

Sons of Essex kept it classy with a truffle grilled cheese with gruyere, goat cheese, parmesan, sauteed mushrooms, and baby arugula.

The returning champion Melt Shop melted aged cheddar with bacon and cranberry onion chutney.
Say Cheese put their soup inside the sandwich. They created a French onion grilled cheese with gruyere, Swiss, and parmesan on sourdough.
Say cheese also whipped up a dessert grilled cheese spread thick with irresistible nutella.
This was basically a chocolalic's dream grilled cheese. Melty nutella, mascarpone, and graham cracker dust combined to make an ode to the s'more. But rather than stop there, why not insert a pipette of chocolate? These were handed out with the thoughtful words, "now remember, bite and squeeze."
The Chelsea Market cheese shop made an "American as apple pie" apple, cheddar, and ham grilled cheese using Cabot sharp cheddar and apple butter with a hint of chili chutney.

...and 2 of 2 was a mushroom version as the vegetarian option.
