Open Thread: Where Do You Eat in the West 30s?

Here's a question we hear pretty often: where's a good place to eat in the West 30s in Manhattan? We don't mean Chelsea, and we don't mean Hell's Kitchen—we're talking about that area west of Penn Station, closer to the Port Authority and post office than most restaurants.

We have some favorites, of course: Salumeria Biellese's awesome cured pork, which can be made into fine sandwiches with Sullivan Street bread. (Yes, it's on 29th Street.) There's New York Pizza Suprema's slices, too, which are a happy thing near Penn.

Speaking of Penn, we have a guide of where to eat near the train terminal, but you'll notice most of the picks veer towards east of 8th Avenue, with only a few above 34th.
