When I visit Vegan Divas on the Upper East Side, I leave with two items. First is the one I intended to buy (currently it's a slice of the fluffy vanilla bean cheesecake, $5, with raspberry jam and a nutty housemade granola crust). And then I inevitably end up with a bag of mini doughnuts. The doughnuts are placed next to the register, $1.50 apiece in three flavors. It's best to get one of each—cinnamon-sugar, toasted coconut, and chocolate-dipped. With ingredients including maple syrup, apple cider vinegar, and coconut oil, these are flavorful without that healthy taste you get with many vegan sweets.
