Sugar Rush: Tiramisu at Maialino

Sugar Rush

Your daily dose of something sweet.

I love desserts at Maialino, enough that I often visit just for something sweet. The Olive Oil Cake is my go-to year round, and in the summer the Granita di Caffé is ideal for hot and humid days.

But these days I'm craving Tiramisu ($9)—constantly. Theirs is the traditional sort with ladyfingers flown in from Italy. It's slightly boozy, espresso-soaked, and layered with whipped mascarpone and eggy zabaglione. No surprises here, but well executed all the same, and sometimes that's just want you want. Bring on the winter winds and chill! I've got my tiramisu.
