Sugar Rush: Ice Cream at Bouchon Bakery

While on my usual bi-weekly run to Bouchon Bakery, I spotted a sign near the register announcing ice cream. Ice cream! Since when does Bouchon do ice cream? Since now. They had two flavors available (toffee and mint brownie) with plans to rotate flavors in the coming weeks. Here's Mint Brownie, served in a pre-packed cup for $5.50. They cups are sufficient for one indulgent individual or two people craving a little something sweet.
Big chunks and crumbled bits of dark, fudgy brownies come evenly folded into the minty base. The ice cream is appropriately dense and velvety, and for a minute there I suspected the brownies were actually chopped up bouchons, the bakery's beloved namesake brownie-like cakes. Now wouldn't that be a treat!
