Chanukah starts soon, which means one awesome thing: latkes. If you're not up to making your own, here's an event to put on your radar: the Fourth Annual Latke Festival at the Brooklyn Academy of Music on December 10th.

Seventeen New York restaurants, from classics like Veselka and Norma's to unexpected ones like A Voce and Fatty 'Cue will gather under one roof for an all-out fried potato fest, with judges including Rozanne Gold, Lee Schrager, and Gabrielle Gershenson.

Tickets are still available for $55 (includes all the latkes you can eat as well as non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages), but we're giving away two tickets right here. To enter our giveaway, tell us what makes a great latke in the comments below. We'll select a winner at random on Tuesday, December 4th at 12 p.m. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
