In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

Like Cafe Gitane's egg and merguez sandwich, this baby's best bit is its bread.

Still, that doesn't mean the other parts aren't tasty: the chicken (curry-colored, though it's not flavored as such) is tender. The additions of roasted tomatoes and parmesan give the sandwich a hearty, suitable-for-supper quality. The chipotle mayonnaise complement the sweetness of the tomato nicely, making for a satisfying two-punch bite.

It's a solid sandwich, chicken and tomatoes done well. And while $14 is a little steep, it's so large that you could easily swing it into two meals.
