This weekend, the Lexington Avenue Armory played host to the Travel & Leisure Global Bazaar. It was an event part culture expo, part international shopping fare, and part dance festival—but all with food literally at its center, with talented chefs from New York's (and the rest of the country's) higher echelons joining forces with some of the city's globally-minded food trucks.
So what do you get at an event giving play to José Andrés's modernist spherified olives, Johnny Iuzzini's cumin meringues, and a Lebanese truck's foot-long sandwiches? Some very good bites indeed. Here are eight of our favorites from our visit; check them all out in the slideshow above.
