They say the original is always best, but I prefer this newer location of One Girl Cookies in DUMBO. It's spacious with ample seating, and the proximity of the bakery to Almondine, Jacques Torres, and Brooklyn Ice Cream Factory makes it an easy win. So does this Angel Food Cake. Priced at $2.75 a slice, it's a bargain considering most cake slices in this town start at $4 and easily go up to $9. This is a proper angel food cake, delicate and feathery with that fine melt in your mouth texture. They give it extra oomph with a bright passion fruit glaze and a flurry of pistachios, toasted, crushed, and finished with a tiny bit of salt.
