Now this is how you start a weekend: a seat at the bar and an order of the Sticky Toffee Pudding ($9) at The John Dory Oyster Bar. It comes to the table warm with a immense, voluptuous mound of whipped cream that's nfused with earl grey! It's silky like no other and if I may confess, I have enjoyed it even more than the pudding itself. But that's not to dismiss the pudding, an equally great creation. The toffee sauce is poured on right before serving, the buttery creation seeping into every nook of the dense sponge cake, moist with dates and sweet with brown sugar. Apparently it's even better when the whipped cream melts from the heat and blend into the toffee sauce. But I wouldn't know, I ate all the cream before it had a chance.
