The 2012 Food Film Festival is almost here: five days, six screenings and events, and 36 of the best short food films of the year. This year they're showcasing movies about everything from maple sugar farming (from our very own James Boo!) to local butchers to food as disaster to relief to everyone's favorite cured pork product, and we're giving away two tickets to the entire thing right here.

This isn't your average film festival. During the screenings, teams of New York chefs cook food based on the films, allowing you to "taste what you see on the screen." What's more, the screenings all include special events and parties with everything from Scotch tasting to a ramen demo by Japanese chef Keizo Shimamoto to a full-out rooftop oyster roast. You can see a full listing of the films here and the events here.

Our tickets give you full access to all six screenings and events of the festival, with all you can eat and drink. Tickets for all screenings are on sale here. To enter the giveaway, tell us about your favorite food moment in film in the comments below. A winner will be selected at random on Wednesday, October 3rd at 5 PM. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply.
