There are a number of desserts on the menu at Silk Rd Tavern, but focus on the Piña Colada Panna Cotta ($8). It's a textbook perfect panna cotta, smooth and silky to the touch, light on the tongue and accented with vanilla beans. It's good enough on its own, but even better with the accompaniments which enhance rather than overwhelm this dessert. The piña colada element is introduced with a sprinkling of finely shaved toasted coconut, a center of crystallized basil, and crisp pineapple to finish.
