Magnolia Bakery's strong point is everything but the cupcakes. The flourless chocolate cakes, the icebox cakes, yes. The banana pudding, yes, yes! And these seasonal Jamborees ($4.50). They're currently doing them with peaches (though the blueberry is my favorite version), layering slices atop a fluffy cream cheese filling and vanilla shortbread base. It's messy to eat, but that's what both hands and plenty of napkins are for. And if you're in a super-peach mood, the peach crumble is also good. This is one of those desserts that I take home to warm up in the oven and pair with ice cream. Easy weeknight satisfaction.
