In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

The behemoth Chipotle Braised Cochinita torta at Comodo ($9) is rich, fatty, and porky — everything a pork sandwich should be. The slow roasted meat is tender, juicy and smoky, with some mild heat from the chipotles. Getting some rich creaminess involved is never a bad thing, and the mayo and avocado that smother the meat do just that. The pork juices and mayo-avocado mashup mix together and seep into the just-okay torta bun, making for a deliciously messy bite.

Did I mention that this sandwich is huge? It stuffed the takeout container and overflowed onto the counter when unpacked, so count on it being more than one lunch.
