This looks like an apple turnover but it's not. It's a Lemon Turnover ($3), the flaky pastry filled with a bright mix of lemon curd folded with lemon zest and candied lemons, all made by Runner & Stone. An ideal afternoon pick-me-up, the lemon is appropriately tart, and the multi-layered pastry is buttery-rich but surprisingly light. If you've got extra stomach space, the seasonal Blueberry Danish and Strawberry Rhubarb Galettes ($4 each) are both excellent bets.
