Doughnuts, all chopped up. Baked with custard. Meet the Doughnut Bread Pudding ($3). At Baked by Butterfield all the doughnuts are baked, not fried, perhaps more doughnut-like objects than doughnuts themselves. You'll find everything from ordinary flavors (old-fashioned, jelly, and Boston cream) to the not-so-ordinary (think meyer lemon meringue, caramel and sea salt, peanut butter and jelly).

You'll also find this Doughnut Bread Pudding. The single serving cups are offered at room temperature, more on the firm than eggy side, moist and cakey with notes of vanilla and cinnamon. And like most things, I like it best warmed in the oven with caps of fresh whipped cream.
