Sugar Rush: Chocolate Souffle at Cha-An

Sugar Rush

Your daily dose of something sweet.

Cha-An is known for Japanese-inspired desserts, encompassing flavors such as sakura, matcha, and black sesame. But do not overlook the Chocolate Souffle ($9), a mainstay on the sweets menu. It comes to the table hot, delivered straight from the oven. Steam escapes from with that first spoonful, so be careful! Pour in the housemade raspberry sauce, silky and slight tart, as a fruity offset to the dark chocolate. The surface of the souffle has that slightly crisp shell, and inside it's practically molten and never too sweet. Pair it with the matcha float (they mix azuki beans in there!), and you might never want to leave.
