A summery Baba ($10) indeed. At Recette, you'll find a slice of house-baked brioche, dotted in poppy seeds and slightly sweet with the haunting notes of maple syrup, that comes perched on a round of strawberry-ginger ice cream. It's spicy and fruity in equal balance, the tiniest of strawberry seeds captured in each spoonful. Knock that brioche right over and let the chilled rhubarb soup soak into every nook and cranny. Alternate bites of toasted pistachios and whisper-thin slices of fresh rhubarb.
