The Darby Sundae ($15) comes to the table with giant scoops of vanilla ice cream piled to form a pyramid topped with crushed pralines. This is indulgent and definitely meant for sharing among two or more. It's a DIY affair with a silky flow of hot fudge and splash of whiskey poured table-side. Craft each bite to your liking, be it toasted pistachios, or clouds of whipped cream, or perhaps spoonfuls of caramelized white chocolate sauce. Don't disregard the curious rounds of coconut and caramel truffles or housemade marshmallow squares. In the end, I like it best simple with equal parts whipped cream and ice cream. And of course a good dose of that hot fudge on the side.
