La Maison du Chocolat's Mont Marron ($8.50) is like a glamorous version of your classic Mont Blanc, each creation cut into tidy squares. Instead of the typical whipped cream and chestnut purée combination, La Maison starts with a crunchy pecan biscuit base followed by a thicker layer of chocolate ganache laced with the unmistakable touch of rum. It's topped with chestnut sabayon cream (the taste and flavor of sabayon, only in a thicker cream form), another biscuit layer and, finally, picture perfect pipes of sweet chestnut purée. It's intense but very tiny, so you'll have no problem devouring it all in a minute.
