At Amorino Gelato on University Place you'll find not one, but ten different types of hot chocolate on the menu, including classic dark, milk, white, and a deep caramel (all $5.25). But if you're craving something a touch more unusual, they've got a fragrant version steeped in both orange and cinnamon, another accented with coconut or almond, and even a spicy Aztec hot chocolate. My personal favorite? The Hazelnut. It's one of the most velvety hazelnut hot chocolates in town: essentially liquified Nutella with a heavy dose of cream to keep the flavors in check. Do say "yes" to the offer of whipped cream. And when feeling especially decadent, request a larger cup and plop in a scoop of their house gelato, à la Grom.
