Roasted Mushroom Frittata ($6.88)
Though it's featured on the breakfast menu, this egg sandwich is served all day. For a vegetarian option, it certainly packs a wallop: the tasty frittata goes heavy on the cream and there's also a layer of aged cheddar melted onto the ciabatta roll, just to up the richness factor. Meat-free it is; light, it is not.
Free-Range Roasted Chicken ($9.64)
It can be hard to make chicken interesting, but this sandwich is up to the task. The tender meat is slathered with a spiced aioli bright with whole cumin seeds, and pickled vegetables--a nod to banh mi?--lend a welcome freshness. Braised kale is a nice, seasonally appropriate touch.
Aged Gruyere ($6.65)
'wichcraft bills this sandwich as "French onion soup between two pieces of grilled rye bread," and their description is apt. Comprised solely of melted Gruyere cheese and soft caramelized onions, it's a sandwich as comforting as the soup that inspires it.
Who could say no to a meatloaf sandwich in the wintertime? It's a classic, and 'wichcraft justly hews close to the standard, placing a nicely-seasoned hunk of meatloaf atop a soft ciabatta roll, melting cheddar over the top, and adding a smear of light tomato relish. But wait, there's more! The whole thing is capped with bacon, which, unfortunately, overpowers the mild loaf just a touch.
Roasted Pork ($9.64)
Tender, slow-roasted pork shoulder joins sliced coppa ham in this meat-on-meat sandwich. Fontina cheese adds an extra level of richness, which is cut by some much-needed acidity in the form of pickled peppers.
