These Chocolate Roses from Zucker's Bakery are the perfect size when you need just a little sweet, something to satisfy the craving. Like a cross between cinnamon rolls and babka, each "rose" measures about two inches in diameter. Six or so blissful bites; unwind your way from outside in. The first layer is both eggy and buttery, slightly crisp at the outmost exterior. The center is soft, borderline gooey, and melting with chocolate when still warm. A drizzle of just enough icing to leave sweet memories. They come in three flavors and chocolate is the most popular; easy to understand after that first bite. But the other two flavors are no slackers. The Date & Halva Rose features crumbled halva, held in place by the chopped, soft and sticky dates spread on the dough. And on the weekends you'll find roses dressed up in Almonds & Brown Sugar. Best part? They're only $2 apiece.
