Jeff at City Sandwich
If you're a fan of black pudding in English breakfasts, you might be up for this sandwich of not-too-strong Portuguese morcela (that's blood sausage) along with crumbled Italian sausage, onions, sharp watercress, and olive oil. (This one will be served with egg white rather than the egg pictured here.)
The egg is topped with the vinegar-laced chicken-and-pork Portuguese sausage Alheira; spinach, grilled onions, and melted mozzarella finish it off.
One of the lighter options, with roasted vegetables and olive oil atop a light egg white omelet.
Melted brie fuses with the egg white, the sandwich finished with spinach, sautéed onions, tomato, and olive oil.
Egg and prosciutto di Parma form the bulk of this sandwich, with the slight sharp bite of Parmesan; grilled onions and arugula accompany. (This one will be served with egg white rather than the egg pictured here.)
Sort of like a roadside sausage sandwich—sausage, tomato, onions—with mozzarella and egg.
It starts out almost ham-and-egg-like in taste, with the Portuguese dry-cured pork loin sausage paio, and then adds broccoli rabe, tomato, sautéed onions, and melted mozzarella. (This one will be served with egg white rather than the egg pictured here.)
