Sugar Rush: Matcha Doughnuts at Doughnut Plant

I know I'm not the only one who is obsessed with matcha everything. Matcha lattes, matcha cakes, matcha eclairs, and even matcha tiramisu—just to name a few. Here's another to add to your list: Matcha Doughnuts from the Doughnut Plant.
They make these doughnuts in both cake and yeast doughnut form, each one satisfying a different need. The matcha yeast doughnuts are less frequently found just because they don't make them as often; snatch those up when you can. But the cake version is just as easy to love. The classic Doughnut Plant cake base, moist and not overly greasy, comes dipped in a matcha glaze complete with geometric lines. The matcha flavor is delicate, subtle in a good way and does a fine job of balancing out the sweetness with its naturally bitter notes. Amazing when still warm; make sure to go early in the day.
