There are two main desserts on the menu at Buvette: a killer chocolate mousse and reliable tarte tatin. Those stay regardless of the season, while other sweet specials come and go. On the best days, ice cream is available. It's made in-house and, when it's available, a must-order.
Sweet Cream Ice Cream comes with a spoonful of cherries, the sweet sauce dripping down delicately, staining the sides. The flavor of this ice cream is pure, all cream with just a touch of sugar. On the other end of the spectrum is Chocolate Ice Cream, as bold as the sweet cream is gentle. You can taste the difference between ice cream made with chocolate and that made with cocoa powder. This is made with the latter but no less rich or flavorful. It's indulgent, silky, and topped with with candied orange peels. If you order both at once, make sure to try the sweet cream ice cream first—the richness of chocolate takes a few extra spoonfuls of the sweet cream to cancel out.
