Sugar Rush: The Odeon's Ice Cream Cart

Quick, before summer officially turns into fall—stop by the The Odeon's ice cream cart for housemade scoops. One scoop for $5, two for $7, and for $10 they'll make you a root beer float. I'm happiest with "one" scoop of two different flavors. The flavors here lean on the classic, easy-to-love side—think a pure and intense Chocolate, a lush Butter Pecan, Vanilla, and brisk Coffee. If you're only going to pick one, make it Mint Chip. If they wanted to show off, they'd call it Fresh Mint, because that's exactly what it is, dark chocolate chopped into tiny, easily melting shards against a clean, though full-bodied and perfectly smooth minty base. Opt for a cone over a cup. It's not just any normal cone, but a fresh, housemade vanilla waffle cone—worth the visit alone.
