Pastries and booze: two good things that get better together. At Jane's Sweet Buns, a pastry shop in Manhattan's East Village, the sticky buns, cakes, and tartlettes nearly all have an alcoholic element.
We stopped by for a day with owner Jane Danger—spending a morning preparing everything from the fruit tartlettes to the sweet buns the oatmeal cookies. It's only later in the afternoon that Jane would start on the bun dough, getting it ready to be baked the next day.
