For the summer months, Birdbath Bakery is offering dainty little tarts about a quarter the size of their normal tarts. Priced at $3 apiece, the flaky puff pastry base is outfitted in dollops of puckery-sweet lemon curd and quartet of blueberries, a dusting of powdered sugar to finish. The best part of this tart is the deep caramelized edges, which hover just short of being burnt. Crunchy and sweet, they're the perfect complement to the creamy rich curd. A good choice if you just want a tiny nibble; but any more, and you're better off with the full-sized tart for just a couple dollars more.
