Sugar Rush: Mille-Feuille at Mille-Feuille Patisserie

We first mentioned the croissants, in plain, chocolate, and almond, at the recently opened Mille-Feuille a few weeks ago. Now we're back, this time for Olivier's signature Mille-Feuille ($4.50 each), delicate creations that are perfectly packaged to avoid any slippage on the way home. They are sized for one and come in a creamy vanilla bean-speckled number, a richer and butter-smooth praline, and a fresh pistachio pastry cream. The mille feuilles are all made in-house daily, the puff pastry layers delicate and golden, barely sweet and shattering at the bite. Eat while they're fresh; this is one dessert you'll want to keep all for yourself.
