M2M is first and primarily a supermarket, but like Sunrise Mart, they do a fairly brisk lunch take-out business. Look to the right as you enter the market, there's always two cooks on staff, putting out made-to-order sushi, donburis (rice bowls), and udon. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but the food is consistently fresh, and most importantly, reliable.
In both hot and cold weather I come to M2M for the udon ($5.50-$7.50), which they'll whip up for you in five minutes. Delivered in a deep styrofoam container, the noodles and soup come with purple cabbage, shredded carrots, mushrooms, seaweed, chopped green onions and fresh spinach (in addition to extra meat andvegetables you can order, such as shrimp tempura and fried tofu). I've found the quality and variety here to be just a notch above Sunrise Mart, and that goes for the sushi as well. $9.99 for a combo plate that includes six pieces of nigiri and your choice of a tuna or California roll. Donburis are my least favorite here, as they often skimp on the toppings for the rice bowl, but do come for udon and sushi plates.
If you want to eat in, they have a small, clean-it-yourself seating area good for fast meals. To drink, head to the left side of the market; there's a whole wall of refrigerated beverages. I'm partial to the plain oolong teas, or when in a sweet mood, the canned Korean cinnamon-y rice drinks. Only $0.99!
