A Sandwich A Day: Duck Sandwich at Egg

In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year--so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. --The Mgmt.

The Duck Sandwich ($13) at Egg reminds us why we love the flavorful bird so much. The tiny Williamsburg restaurant is not shy with their meat, layering on thick slices of perfectly pan-seared duck breast on a crusty French baguette that's slathered in duck liver pate. A handful of fresh greens, Colman's mustard and sweet onion jam add a spicy sweetness that ties the whole sandwich together. Pair it with sweet tea ($2) or fresh lemonade ($3), and you've got yourself a fine spring lunch.
