Behind The Scenes At The Brooklyn Star
One of this winter's more anticipated openings was The Brooklyn Star. After a fire broke out in their old restaurant (which has since been restored as Best Pizza) back in February 2010, the team moved their Southern-inflected restaurant just a few blocks away, and recently reopened. The new Star is a good deal bigger than the original, with two kitchens and a beautiful worn-wood look; while giving me the tour, cook Justin Burchill explained that anything that is wooden in the restaurant was built by them.
Take a look inside of the brand new Brooklyn Star and all the things they're prepping.
