We're big supporters of the Housing Works Bookstore Café, an arm of Housing Works, the largest community-based AIDS service organization in the United States. So we'll be at their next fundraiser, A Taste of Home: A Chef Tasting and Benefit Party, on Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 PM.
Hosted by Alexandra Guarnaschelli of the restaurant Butter and the Food Network, the event includes food from Brad Farmerie (Double Crown, PUBLIC, and more), Colleen Grapes (The Red Cat and The Harrison), Luis Nieto (The Palm Tribeca) and Tessa Liebman (The Works Catering), as well as guacamole from Dos Caminos—plus cocktails, beer, wine, and coffee. All proceeds benefit Housing Works.
Tickets are $65 (available here); VIP admission, including an hour of wine and cheese with the chefs, is $100. But we're giving away a pair of general admission tickets right here.
To enter, just answer the following question in the comments: What celebrity chef would you book for a benefit?
Contest will end and comments will close at noon ET, Friday, March 18, 2011. One entry per community member. The standard Serious Eats contest rules apply. Housing Works Bookstore Café, 126 Crosby Street, New York NY 10012; 212-334-3324; housingworks.org. Tuesday, March 29, at 7:00 PM.
