A Sandwich a Day: Curry Sandwich at cc's cafe
In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

The name of this West Village restaurant might be little, but its tastes are big. In the curry sandwich ($8.25), tandoori chicken gets mixed with curry powder for flavor, carrots for crunch, raisins for sweetness, and the tiniest dab of mayo for stickiness, which helps keep everything neat and tidy inside the baguette. Although the storefront has three small tables, the nearby gardens at St. Luke in the Fields make for nicer seating, especially when they're starting to bloom (like now). Just don't wander too far: when you're finished with the sandwich, you'll want to get one of their gooey, chewy brownies, too.
