Sugar Rush: Madeleines at Bar Pleiades

At Bar Pleiades, you can order Boulud's famous madeleines ($7) without having to commit to a whole meal. The madeleines are baked to order, served warm with a liberal dusting of powdered sugar. They are some of the best madeleines in the city, with a thin, crisp exterior and a body that is impossibly moist and fluffy, with just a bare kiss of lemon. Served by the basketful, they're easy to put back in a matter of minutes.
