Dear Serious Eats New York: I Figured Out How To Make Ippudo's Ramen At Home

In case you missed our Ramen Roundup, the Lower East Side's Ippudo was our second place winner, so when Marc Matsumoto of the blog No Recipes wrote in to us claiming to have replicated their awesome rich, creamy, sticky broth, we listened.

I got fed up with the lines at Ippudo and decided to create a knock-off of their ramen at home. It's taken me about 12 years to get the soup right, but I thought you and your readers might be interested in my results.

Yes Marc, yes we are. From the looks of the ramen and recipe on his site, he's right on the money. It does take some specialized equipment and a supply of Pork Trotters, but anything is better than Saturday night lines at Ippudo, right?
