Banana pudding will always remain my favorite pudding item to eat at American bakeries like Buttercup, Sugar Sweet Sunshine, Magnolia, and Billy's Bakery. But that doesn't mean I can't partake in the fun of their other flavors—remember the Chocolate Chip Cookie Pudding at Sugar Sweet Sunshine, or their seasonal Pumpkin Eggnog Pudding? And don't forget that nearly all these bakeries do a Chocolate Trifle Pudding.

We can now add to this list the Raspberry-Lemon Pudding ($4) from Buttercup Bake Shop. The best part of this pudding are the layers of spicy ginger cookies, thin rounds softened to a cake-like texture between layers of lemon pudding, more sweet than tangy, and dotted with fresh raspberries. If you're the indecisive type, don't forget that you can opt to combine two pudding flavors in a single cup. Banana Pudding on the bottom, and Raspberry-Lemon on the top half—that's the way to go!
