The recently opened Little Cupcake Bakeshop in the former Kitchen Club space in Nolita might look like any other Magnolia's or Billy's Bakery from the outside, but only here can you find the Pistachio Icebox Cake. Smartly priced at $3.50 a slice, the cake is a splendid tower of housemade pistachio whipped cream and vanilla cookies. With three alternating layers of fluffy cream and cookie, the cake is left to sit overnight until the cookies soften and take on a cake-like texture. The result? Buttery cake and cream, an ideal accompaniment to their Nutella cappuccino. (They also offer slices of the classic black and white icebox cakes.)
