A dessert sandwich for the books: the Colazione Francese ($3.50) from Grandaisy Bakery. The six-inch long segment of their house stirato bread, is sliced, its bottom half slathered with sweet creamy butter. Atop that goes spaghetti squash jam—a killer creation, spotted with plump raisins and toasted walnut halves. The whole thing together is unique in the best way possible. The texture of meaty strands of spaghetti squash tangled into a sweet jam: I find it positively brilliant. Come early for this one—they sell out by early afternoon.
