The Street Vendor Project just announced the nominees for the 2010 Vendy Awards, the Oscars of the street food world. Up for the grand prize: El Rey del Sabor, a Pueblan cart in Midtown; the Bistro Truck in the Flatiron; The King of Falafel and Shawarma in Astoria; Venezuelan cart Patacon Pisao in Inwood; and roving schnitzel purveyors Schnitzel & Things.
