Okay: sandwich-es of the day. These Bull's Tail Sliders ($12, 2 to an order) at La Fonda del Sol are on the menu in the tapas lounge through July 14, in celebration of the Running of the Bulls; they may live on as a special thereafter. We've seen enough pulled pork "sliders" on Manhattan menus to line the streets of Pamplona, but these little guys are a bit more exciting: the insanely gamey, fatty oxtail stewed to a pulp in red wine, served with a smooth, sweet spread of smoked date and the bright spice of pickled chili.
