Who doesn't love french fries? We've long been looking for New York's best, and decided that the city's fries deserved more than a post—they needed a column of their own. Here's TGI Fry-Day, your weekly dose of deliciousness. Got a nomination? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

I couldn't describe these French fries any more eloquently than AHT-Serious Eats editor Robyn Lee, so I'll just note that I heartily concur with everything she said about them on her blog, The Girl Who Ate Everything.

These are some of my most favorite fries ever--they're freshly fried to a golden crisp, somewhat on the skinny side for a large crust-to-non-crust potato ratio, well-salted, and come with what is basically a tastier version of mayonnaise. [Ed. note: It's a saffron aioli, and they serve an identical one at sister restaurant Balaboosta.] The portion is a bit too large for one person to eat on their own, unless they're especially hungry (I mean, I could eat it all if I absolutely had to), so this is best shared between two or three people who will inevitably grab for the last dregs of fried potato matter at the bottom of the bowl. You shouldn't have trouble convincing your friends to partake in the French fry goodness. If you do, find new friends.
