If you're just handed this Lamazou creation ($8.75) without any warning, the paper-thin slices of pate look like a well-done roast beef. But a bite will quickly clear up any misconceptions: the pate is rich and earthy, melting slowly on the tongue with the lingering notes of black pepper, complimented by munster cheese, pickles, and butter. The bread is equally delicious, providing structure with a flavorful, hearty crunch to contrast with the sandwich's soft, rich fillings. Why it's named the Butterfly, though, is anyone's guess.
