A Sandwich a Day: The Bronx Bomber from Franklin Corner Cafe
In this great city of ours, one could eat a different sandwich every day of the year—so that's what we'll do. Here's A Sandwich a Day, our daily look at sandwiches around New York. Got a sandwich we should check out? Let us know. —The Mgmt.

The sandwiches at the Franklin Corner Cafe sometimes make sense and sometimes—well, "turkey, fried eggplant, jalapeño, and bean dip" should tell you all you need to know. But we loved the Bronx Bomber: insanely moist roast pork with Swiss cheese, barbecue sauce, jalapeño for a bit of heat, and avocado to cool it all down. On hot pressed bread, the components fuse together in a beautiful fatty, tangy union. Such a winner.
